What is it, 2,000 words a day?

1,667 words per day - or roughly six pages of elite, double-spaced.

Sorry to read that you're going through a bit of a personal rough patch, Kat; this might be the thing to regain some focus - hope it all works out for you.

The madness starts tomorrow, so I spent an hour-or-so yesterday on the SG1 that I use for NaNoWriMo.

Although there was still some life left in it, I flipped over the ribbon to make sure that I didn't run into any OCR issues from fading type. It looks like I'm getting around 55,000 words per ribbon third (top of ribbon = blue setting on the SG1; middle of ribbon = yellow setting), so this flipped over ribbon will last long enough to see the end of the month.

I also did a little cleaning and oiling, fixed an intermittent issue with the right-side carriage release, and reconnected the left-side alignment guide that had come out of its pivot bracket. Finally, I moved the big Olympia to a prominent position on my desk; it's ready to go another round, and I can comfortably say that it's far more ready for the onslaught of words than I am.

My handle is "44 Keys". Looking at my profile it was nice to find out that all the TT folk I had as writing buddies from last year are still listed.

GAME ON!
The 2016 NaNoWriMo has officially started - good luck everybody!

Hi, yes I found out how to find you right after asking this question!

Day 4, and we're heading into the weekend; since it's been very quiet in this thread I thought that it was time to check in and see how everyone is making out so far?
