Wow, quick transformation, Pete! I like it! I especially like the platen is still soft. That’s rare for sure. As far as the looser feeling keys, that is what i’m now a little critical of on my SM7 and why I am preferring the feel of my Hermes and Silent Super keys over either of my Olympias, really, but do have a connection to my SM3 despite that similar looser feel.
Are you planning to sell this one or keep for a while?

Hi John,

This one is a keeper.

It still bangs around as the carriage moves up/down with shifting...might get back in there and glue on some thin rubber washers.pads to the stops to tame that noise a bit.

My colours inspiration came from a maple tree I have in my garden that goes through similar colour changes each Fall.

Duane Jensen of Phoenix Typewriter in Arizona posted up this photo on FaceBook to show where the Upper Case and Lower Case adjustments are made on the Parade typewriter for type vertical alignment.

This adjustment is shown in the photo on the left side of the machine and removing the body cowling makes the work easier.  And similar adjustment points are on the right side as well.

I assume this would be the same for the Royal Signet model from the 1960's as well.

Really nice colors with the greens and the naturals working well together.

Regarding the type alignment adjustments in the Photo in Post # 34.

The labels of LC and UC are backwards in the photo with the back of the machines on the left side of the photo.

Had an eye out for a blue-version of the Royal Parade.

I have been unable to snag a nice looking Royal Futura 800 in the "Americana" colour scheme.

I won this blue Parade on SGW and figured I can make it into a "Americana - Junior".

More photos when it is home, serviced, and repainted.

Machine is all done.  Still working on some case repairs and paint touch-ups on the case.

Today was case repair day.

All the cuts and holes in the vinyl were along the top surface.

Glued back down, patched with non-silicone latex, sanded, and repainted the top panel with Krylon black satin (w/2 light coats of paint).
