What are the effect of an overtightened spring/belt ?
Spring/belt connected to the trolley of course...

Over-tightened main-spring makes the movement of the carriage too "vigorous" and it will slam hard against Tab stops and the right side margin stop.

Not enough main-spring tension leads to the carriage running "out-of-steam" before you get to the end of the platen.

Couldn't this have an impact on the space bar and block its proper functioning ?
