I just bought a Royal 10 which arrived with the feet and several other loose parts simply thrown into the carton with the typewriter. One of them being this small bearing on a bracket, with a screw.
Does anyone recognize it and know where it goes? I would like to put it back if I could.
Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Does your Royal 10 a have a standard carriage, or is it wide carriage?

I'm guessing standard. The old brochures claim that a Royal 10 takes paper up to 11 inches wide, and I can barely fit a sheet of 8-1/2x11 sideways into the platen. The 11 inch claim is a little bit optimistic.

Sorry, when I first looked at your image I was confused by the reflection. Looking at it again, I believe that it is the top roller for the rear carriage support rail, which is pictured below (with the paper table lifted out of the way):

THANK YOU!!!
I checked my typewriter and that part is missing. That must be where it came from.
It looks like I'll have to pull the carriage to put it back on, but I've seen videos on the process, and it doesn't look too difficult.
So far the typewriter works amazing. I just need to sort out details and it'll be a great machine.
