I'd hate to burst your bubble, but that 10 looks like it is worth about $70 tops. I paid $20 for mine and it is in much better shape.

I agree with you, but he's a dealer so he probably paid $20 for it himself and is now marking it up. And someone with little knowledge will pay what he's asking.

By the way Solvendators, please post your sales item in the correct sub-forum in the future and please refrain from creating multiple posts for the same item.

Wow! All I had to do to get mine was to trade out a 1957 IBM model B to a little girl for it.

I have one from that year too... it came with the rarely seen Krazy Kat keyboard - the kind where the original letters had worn off the keys over the years and been pasted over by a random collection of cut-out printed letters, like a ransom note. I covered them with a set of green sprung snap-on key caps to do some actual typing, but the originals are underneath. Mine came for little more than shipping but I think I bought it just in time. That was last year.

Not sure about either trading little girls or trading with little girls... either innocent activity might be misconstrued by the excitable town folk!

To clarify: A young girl was holding a garage sale. In that sale was the 1916 Royal upright manual typewriter I saw from my car as I was going home from the grocery store. I stopped by to have a look at it. I asked her if I could give her an IBM electric typewriter (it all worked, as I recently reconditioned it) for the Royal she had. She agreed. I then went home to get the IBM, and the young girl and I swapped typewriters, even Steven.

The young girl's aunt supervised the whole transaction.
