Unfortunately, not. It's been so annoying that I had to put the typewriter aside and use another one instead...at least, until I can solve the problem.
 

Hi all - does anyone perhaps have any original drawings / blueprints for any typewriters that might be used by the machinists, etc. that fabricated them? I am wondering how hard it might be to use laser cutting, 3D printing, basic machining, etc. the parts to fabricate a typewriter (or spare parts, at least). I can't seem to find anything online and the old patents are painful to read at best.

Hi all - I'm not sure if this is normal for the SG1 but when I use the shift key for uppercase letters, etc., it sounds a lot like metal hitting metal (clunk, clunk) when the carriage moves up and down. What gives? Is this normal or is it missing a rubber damper somewhere (if so, where?)? It makes typing really annoying and unnecessarily noisy, which is a bit of a let-down considering all the rave reviews about the SG1 online.

Hi everyone - this may seem an odd question, but has anyone come across any woodworking plans to build a typewriter desk? I've searched online and found nothing so far.

I recently bought an Olivetti Lettera 35 (no case) and I'd like to be able to cart it around with me without damaging it. Can anyone perhaps send me some pics / dimensions of the official carry case, so that I can try to make something similar over here (in wood and leather)? Thanks in advance!
