Is he English speaking, or would I have to send an email to him in French?
Thanks

I have had a look on the Antique Typewriter Collector's Group on Facebook, and I've saw some people asking the same question about the "Hermes 3000 S". It appears that some collectors hold it in the same regard as the Facit 1620, but other collectors have regarded it as a complete piece of trash...interesting.
Opinions seem to differentiate on this machine, but the only way to know what it's like to use, would be to buy it.

Hi,
I have a 2nd Gen Hermes 3000 that has a missing carriage return-lever, and I am wondering if there is any sellers who have this part? I'm afraid I can only accept offers from the UK due to shipping costs. (They tend to be quite high)
Thanks

In regards of quality, how would these later plastic-bodied machines that were made in France, compare to the earlier 3000s that were metal-bodied and made in Swizterland?

Thanks, I was thinking that they would've felt the same mechanically, because they were both carriage-shifted machines. Alas, it turns out my guesses were wrong...
