Hello friends, excuse me for my absence. School got my whole time. I got really interesting machines lately such as Japy and Industria Meccanica Chiavenna (ICM). I'll try to write reviews for all of them. Trying to by an Arabic Olympia these days, if i get it there will be a long critic on the forum about it.

How interesting ! In England, Silver-Reed sold two versions of this machine. One with a 9.5" carriage, and one with a 12" carriage, like yours. All the 9.5" carriage machines were white, and all the 12" carriage machines were dark green. No other casing colours were offered !

Here's some more interesting stuff: I've never ever seen a Silver Reed (doesn't matter which model or carriage size) that is not in orange colour here in Turkey

Very cool, but I'm not sure about the name your friend gave it. I'd call it Orange Crush instead. Nice machine!

Thank you Uwe, at least it works. That was my main issue. That friend also loves typewriters and also an author but he's afraid to use one so gives names to his friend's typewriters

Here's my second typewriter: Silver Reed 500. He's plastic-made but still doing the best he can. One of my friends named him Mustard-Swag.

This is my second typewriter. The first one was an AEG, I don't know which model. I had really tough problems with it. Finally it stoped working. So I got this one about two months ago. I'm happy with it so far.

The problem appeared two weeks ago. When I try to write an uppercase letter ribbon gets out from the vibrator. I thought the old ribbon caused that so I've changed it, situation is still the same. Please help me. I'm not ready for another typewriter dissappointment

Oh dear... It's been a long time since I last sign up for a forum. First of all, this is a great database for typewriter enthusiasts. Thank you for that. I am a writing student from Turkey. I love typewriters because it feels "real" to write using it, just like pens and notebooks. So, guess that's all
