Here's one I picked up Sunday.
Here is a link to my google drive where I'm sharing cleaning and restoration pictures. The platen and feed rollers are off to JJ Short for recovering and I'm cleaning/polishing/oiling etc...

I have an SC Silent parts machine. Some parts are gone, but many are still there. Platen and body panels are gone. Keys are damaged some but available (dark green).
If you need a part, let me know and I'll take a look.

I use little baggies. They sell them a craft stores for... I don't know what, people who keep beads or stuff. I got a bunch off of ebay. I'll put parts in a little baggie and a scrap of paper that says something like 'Remi portable back cover screws (4)'. If the machine stays taken apart for any length of time I'll staple all the baggies together and stick them in the basket.
For short term screw holding, I just use a flat fridge magnet. If at all possible, I'll put the screw back in the machine in the correct spot. Like if I take a cover off, I'll just put the screw back in the hole even if the cover is staying off for a while, or if I take a platen off, I'll put the screw in the proper hole if it will fit and stay in.

That's a cool idea. What solvent were you using? I imagine naptha would be okay. I use regular toothbrushes with naptha and they hold up all right.

They look great. Have they started any conversations yet? Are they mounted on the inside or outside of the glass?
Occasionally someone will ask about them. They are on the outside. They can be cut mirror image and put on the inside, but the adhesive is very strong and can damage the defrosting wires if removed from the inside. Those have been on my car for about 2 years now so they are fairly durable.
