Just purchased a 1962 Hermes 3000 which is missing the left platen knob and the clear card guide. If anyone has these for sale or knows where i could find them, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,,
John

Hi John,
Mr. Jacques Perrier in Switzerland is one of largest parts-suppliers for Hermes and even Olympia typewriters.
He sells and ships parts around the world.  Usually he will want to see a photo or two of the machine or part you are needing.
I have been a customer several times.  He ships quickly and the part are always perfect.
He also runs a Typewriter Museum.
His contact email is :     musee@machineaecrire.ch
And a link about his Museum :

And Amsterdam Typewriter in Holland is also a good source for knobs and feet...3D printed one.
I have a set of their feet on my H3K and my Baby as well.  Excellent quality and nice and gripy rubber.
Owner is a nice gal and she ships quickly as well.

Thanks Pete. I have already emailed this guy/company based on an older posting by you, but I have not received any response after a few days. I found a seller from southern ca on ebay who i’m communicating with about a knob, but I can’t find a paper guide anywhere. I will try to contact Jacques Perrier again in a couple days. Duane Jensen also recommended him to me.
Thanks,
John

John,
If you are on FaceBook, you can also search for his full name and send him a Message.  That is usually the fastest way to get a reply from Jacques.

How long does Jaques tend to take to get back to you, Pete? Sent him a message on Facebook yesterday as you suggested and still no response. Duane at Phoenix Typewriter also recommended him to me. I’m getting antsy and might just order a 3d printed knob from a different vendor but so far unable to source the clear card guide.

John,
Glad he was able to help you out.  Post up a photo of your new machine when it is all sorted.
