Re: Facit Man Figurine...

This 14" tall Facit Wizard is offered on eBay out of Florida-USA for $ 200 asking.

Way too rich for me.

Quite the veteran of the passing years.

Re: Facit Man Figurine...

The poor guy could use a hand... or a bath at the very least. I'm sure you're going to monitor that eBay listing because I can't imagine anyone paying $200 USD for it; maybe the seller will lower the price or change it to an auction.

Re: Facit Man Figurine...

I would have had a go at it for $ 60 or so.

Thought I could clean and touch-up paint, and fabricate a Wizard hat...and maybe a pirate "hook" hand...for added character.

Re: Facit Man Figurine...

Interesting little Facit key-chain...

Offered on eBay out of France...but too, too expensive. ~ $ 120 USD with shipping, etc.

Re: Facit Man Figurine...

It is an interesting lost keys fob, and to an address in Algiers no less? Seems rather exotic for a Swedish typewriter advertisement. If the custom number stamped into it is any indicator, there should have been a few thousand of these in circulation at some point. But $120 USD? Crazy.

Re: Facit Man Figurine...

Funny...I worked for a professional engineering company for nearly 20 years.  Each project manager (new to the company) was allowed to use a starting project number of 3000 so if they got 18 new projects, their most recent award would appear as 30018.  Clients could easily assume they have a very senior project manager with lots & lots of closed projects behind them.

Gave the impression a project manager was very busy with securing project commissions.

Smoke & mirrors, for sure.
