If you get a chance to snag a "Report" made in Germany, you will be pleasantly surprised how good an electric it is.  Later Reports were made in Japan.

Here is mine made in 1974.  I added some colour to its ribbon cover.  Also peel & stick felt for the ribbon cover and 2/3 of the bottom pan...to tone down the noise.

I repainted the ribbon cover on my Studio 44, and instead of using peel and stick felt I bought some very thick felt from Joanne's Fabric made from recycled plastic bottles, and epoxied it on. It's about three times as thick as the peel and stick stuff, and muted the sound noticeably better than the original felt, which was about the same thickness as the stuff with the adhesive backing.
