Royal Heritage 1959

I was receintly given a Royal Heritage portable typewriter of 1959. It was terribly dirty.  I took the case off and throughly cleaned it.  Some sound proofing was gone so I replaced it with heavy felt.  I can't believe how quiet it types now, and how solid it feels.   Another surprise was that the casing was heavy aluminum rather than steel.   I had only seen an aluminum casing on a late 50's Tower Citation before.  It was my understanding that the machines were getting cheaper as late 50's rolled by.   (Or made lighter)  Not this guy.

What's the serial number on that Heritage? 1959 seems really early for that particular model, which essentially is a rebranded Futura. A photo would be nice too.

Interesting. Should be a '59 model then. I didn't realise that the Heritage was introduced that early. Photos?
