Vu que ma première machine a été fabriquée au Canada, je dois être sur le bon forum alors
Sinon j'habite en Bourgogne et j'ai parcouru le forum "français" mais je n'ai pas trouvé d'infos sur mon modèle là-bas. Bon ici juste un tout petit peu et mon appel à l'aide n'a pas eu de réponse
Ceci dit entre-temps j'ai trouvé tout seul

I bought a Smith Corona Classic 12 but the carriage return lever is hitting the top of cover when i'm typing.
The cover seems not well adjusted, it hit the carriage when closed, but I don't know how to adjust it.
I manage to disassemble the cover but don't see any adjustement. The bar under the cover is also hitting the front plate during the opening.

I hope my description is clear, I can make some pictures showing the problem. (I'm french, sorry for the bad english...)

Can anybody help me ?

 

The serial number of my Classic 12 is 6LTV-829896, made in Canada. I didn't found any date code yet.
