Hi. I'm looking for the two piece line space lever for a Royal Empress typewriter. I bought mine with the lever missing. And thank you.

This weekend I attended an auction in a nearby town and purchased a Royal Empress. It was not listed on the sale bill and I happened upon it by accident outside on a hay rack of woodworking tools and fishing equipment. Not a typewriter crowd, my initial two-dollar bid won it. Has a nicotine problem on the keys but seems rust free and clean underneath. The keys are stiff so it will get a good mineral spirit cleaning and the carriage return arm is snapped off, otherwise I like it. Another large by huge standard....anybody have a spare carriage return arm?????

I hit a garage sale today and picked up a Linea 88 Olivetti. It's large by huge but everything seems to work. I kinda like the look of it. Checking around the Internet it seems to be a love it or hate it type of machine. So far I have no compliants......

Typewriter is here and will need some cleaning but all in all it looks good. Black paint is nice and the emblems are there and in good shape but as is expected the ribbon is dead. It is the straight manual typewriter without the electric carriage return. But the keytops are unlike any I've ever seen, I'll try for pictures soon,

I'm not sure of the model as it won't be here until tomorrow. I'm far too old to qualify as a member of todays youth but that doesn't rule out my being functionally illiterate. And it is William S. Burroughs' typewriter, just not THAT William S. Burroughs. It was his granddads'...kinda sorta.....

I should soon have one of these beauties in my possession. I've been searching but not finding a lot of info on Burroughs typewriters. Anyone here know much about them??? The typewriter more than the company...

I am in need of the paper table and the top cover that goes behind it for a 1950's Remington Quiet-Riter. Everything else is good, those are missing. Thanks.

I have a pair of Underwoods with the same problem, the ribbon does not advance. One is a Touch Master and the other is a Touch Master 5. Has anyone made further progress on the cure for this problem since May??? Inquiring minds want to know....

It varies. Two from an individual, two from a second hand store, and one from an antique store. The second hand store is the kind where people donate unwanted items and the store sells them to aid the local sheltered workshop. My Underwood Champion came from an auction. It's the time of year when people clean out their closets to make room for Christmas gifts.
