I have a J3 and it's an excellent typer. I think it types as well as my SM3 or SM4. In fact, I actually prefer it just a bit. It has the smoothest carriage return of any portable that I have personally tried. The only downside is that it is carriage-shifted. I believe the J5 is the only basket shift of that series.

Beautiful QDL, Spazmelda! I wish I could find one of those around here.

Here's a not-so-great picture of my latest. Craigslist has been very good to me lately. This one was buried in an ad for mid-century furniture.

Just got this, the identical cousin to KatLondon's Adler. I bought it at a local typewriter shop that I didn't know about previously. I just stumbled upon it. The man who runs it is named Nick, and he's super friendly. His prices are very reasonable for service, so I might take a couple of machines in that could benefit from a professional's touch.

Mine is a mountain ash scarlet Corona Four with all new rubber. It's a beauty and a sweet typer!

I'll post better pictures once I get it cleaned up, but I recently found this locally. 1949 Gold Royal Quiet De Luxe.

I found a Smith Corona Sterling (speedline with black crinkle finish) locally on Craigslist that the seller had gotten from that website for almost $600 a few years ago. He had the original paperwork from when he bought it. I got it for considerably less as he was in a hurry to sell it. I have to say that the condition is great. It types like a dream and has a recovered platen, new feet and rollers, etc. So at least that site appears to do good work.
