I have a Smith Corona typing course with the 45 records still in the back of the box. It's in damn near perfect condition. I will try to get some pictures of it. Been thinking about selling it but I don't know if I want to yet. I got rid of ALL my typers except the Royal Apollo 10 and a smith Corona Clipper. I think I am getting rid of the Clipper though and just going to stick with the Apollo until I find another glass keyed one. I'm sort of looking for the right typer, one that sets me on fire. I had a Type O but someone offered me too much for it so I just had to sell it. Now I am regretting it.

I thought I would ask this question since someone just gave me another tarantula. I have had spiders for almost thirty years now. I have always been fascinated by them. I have had over the course of many years snakes, scorpions and lizards. I love my rattlesnakes the most. I had a Cobra that was slamming hot BUT they are not for the novice person. I really loved my southern Copperhead as well. They are beautiful. I will eventually have a spider display next to my desk eventually but not soon enough. I have the design in my head so all I have to do is build it. I think I am going to get in touch with a local lathe guy who makes wooden cups and ask him to make me some spindles and possibly help me build a desk. I would then build the shelf around that.
So what are you guys into?

I may do that. I'll put them on here, the money can go to the forum and the buyer just pays shipping.

I have been doing some thinking. I think I a going to get rid of all my typers except for my Royal Apollo 10. I don't use them at all. I do enjoy them and I guess they could make cool wall art but I think I would be better off just using the Apollo 10 because it is comfortable. Now here is the question. How should I get rid of them? I could just take them to the scrapyard which would suck because that is where I rescued them from. I could list them on Craigslist but that is a joke or I could just give them away. What to do? Any ideas?

I actually had it like that and it was cool but I live in a mobile home and the walls are thin so I can't.

My space is at a premium. I have a five foot table that has to hold everything I need for school. It is pretty crammed as it is but I do have a small table on the side of it that could hold a typer. My English Lit class lets me turn in papers anyway be it typed, handwritten or computer printed so I can use my typer anytime I want. I want to leave it out but I'm wondering about all the dust and stuff that piles up getting in and gumming it up. I guess I can use that canned air like I do for my laptop. I could also cover it with a towel when I go somewhere and I won't be sitting at my desk. These machines lasted for eighty years so I am sure another twenty years or so ain't gonna hurt it.

Obviously my hero is Hemingway. I would like to some day own a small collection of the typers he used. I am always looking for pictures and\or information about the different ones he used. I know that he used Underwood and Royal. I think he may have used Smith- Corona too. If anyone knows the models let me know. Thanks.
