I have a Torpedo 18.
The ribbon spools are not turning so the ribbon does not advance, in either direction.
The small metal piece that goes between the teeth on the wheel does connect. Maybe not tight enough?
Ribbon not wound properly? Too loose?
Any help to fix this would be great. Thanks.

Hi guys,
What do you use to clean the grime from the keys.
The tops and the edges.
Dish soap? Rubbing alcohol? Warm water?

I'm looking for a repair manual or diagrams for a Torpedo 18b.
I want to strip mine down but I would like the manual to do it properly before I screw it up.
If anyone can direct me to one, I'd be grateful.

I need 4 rubber feet (grey if possible) for a Torpedo 18b.
Could also use the 4 rubber foot 'pads' on the underside of the case.
If anyone can direct me that would be swell.

Just got a 1959/60Torpedo 18b.
There is a dry, white "powder" substance stuck on all internal metal parts. I have scraped at a small amount; it does come off.
My question is; what is this stuff and what is the best way to get it off, and with what?
The rest of the machine is as expected. Stuck keys, in need of a ribbon, needs new rubber feet, platen is hard, but maybe ok.

I have a huge problem with ebay's Global Shipping Program. This is just a money grab!
The USPS is much better and so much more less expensive. US ebay sellers use the GSP just to make it easier on them. Very few will use USPS. I will not deal with anyone who is not willing to use their own Post. Thanks for your continued help. I hope that you understand my POV.
